There once was a man named Job... He was blameless, a man of complete integrity. He feared God and stayed away from evil... He was, in fact, the richest man in that entire area...
One day the angels [sons of God] came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan the Accuser came with them. "Where have you come from?" the LORD asked Satan.
And Satan answered the LORD, "I have been going back and forth across the earth, watching everything that's going on."
Then the LORD asked Satan, "Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth-- a man of complete integrity. He fears God and will have nothing to do with evil."
Satan replied to the LORD, "Yes, Job fears God, but not without good reason! You have always protected him and his home and his property from harm. You have made him prosperous in everything he does. Look how rich he is! But take away everything he has, and he will surely curse to your face!"
"Alright, you may test him," the LORD said to Satan. "Do whatever you want with everything he possesses, but don't harm him physically." So Satan left the LORD's presence...
[Job, Ch 1]
Done entirely in Micron 0.25, Copic Toner, and Copic Mutiliner pen 0.03. Started in November.
November is a very sad month.
EDIT: Uploaded a darker file so the details stand out more. Also, Part 2 is in progress.
Lesse, lesse... crit... hm. The perspective is off in a few areas. Such as the top hat and the spider in the top left corner. And his feet look a little too long. But other than that it looks great. :3
I loved the different explorations of texture, it adds to the dimension of the piece. The perspective is also well done and is very well supported by the texture once again. Especially the spider's abdomen and the texture of the blazer suggests form and takes away from the flatness of the image.
Three things which could be improved, the lower right folds of the bed, the hat on the ground, and also the orbs confuse me a little since they seem to be the only thing without texture.
As for anatomy, I think it fits the style.

Yes, this piece was supposed to be a practice on perspective... and yes, I did fail. Thank you for pointing out what I did wrong, though: I spent hours over it trying to figure it out.
-- I know I make you cry And I know sometimes you wanna die But do you really feel alive Without me?
I agree that the folds and the hate could have been done better. The orbs, though... I attempted to make them without texture so they would stand out. It didn't do QUITE as I had planned... you're right, they do simply look confusing. (I forgot to mention in the description that I did those with a Copic Toner...)
Thanks again!

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Nah, wait, that'd be too long for dA's standards. X3
Kinda gives off that feeling, doesn't it? Sinister... maybe a little evil...
